As one of the most efficient equipment in modern industrial production, the die-casting machine has many characteristics such as high efficiency, low energy
consumption, and high speed.
However, these advantages cannot be achieved by the die-casting machine alone, and many other machines are required to cooperate.
This is what we often call "the three hands of die-casting machine".
What are the three hands of the die-casting machine?
We can understand it from two levels. The first level is the three actions of the die-casting machine, that’s clamping, injection, and opening.
1. Clamping:
First, install the mold made in advance into the machine, and adjust the up and down, left and right, and front and back positions.
Next, we start the mold closing device through the hydraulic system of the die-casting machine to merge the mold quickly and accurately.
At this time, the upper and lower sides of the mold are all sealed and locked.
At the same time, the hydraulic system will start the transmission mechanism, so that the die-casting pressure is slowly rising.
After the mold is completely closed, the first step of the three-hand action, clamping, is completed.
The action of clamping the mold is actually to prepare for high-intensity injection. High-intensity rapid injection can have a huge impact force.
If the mold is not clamped, it will cause the mold to not form, leak, etc., so the clamping force of a die-casting machine is an important parameter for the
quality of the entire machine.
2. Injection:
Injection refers to the injection of molten metal liquid into the closed mold cavity, which is also an important step in the entire die-casting process.
When the die-casting machine confirms that the mold is completely locked and closed, the hydraulic cylinder starts to work and pushes the piston backward, like
a large syringe, pressing the molten metal heated by the heater into the cavity of the fixed mold.
When the metal solution cools down, we get the semi-finished product we want.
3. Opening the mold:
After the injection is completed, the die-casting machine will enter the third step, which is opening the mold.
Opening the mold refers to taking the solidified metal semi-finished product out of the mold.
At this time, the mold will separate, and we will use a spray manipulator to cool the mold.
At the same time, our pick-up robot will take the semi-finished product from the die-casting machine and hand it over to the workers for a series of processing
processes such as trimming and deburring, and finally make a beautiful product.
The second meaning of the three hands of the die-casting machine is the supporting equipment around the die-casting machine.
The three hands refer to: soup feeding robot, spray robot, and pick-up robot.
1. What is a soup-feeding robot?
The soup-feeding robot is also called a soup-feeding machine.
It refers to an automated device that can quantitatively take out the molten metal from the furnace, transport it to the gate, and then pour it into the injection
chamber.
Its main features are soup feeding time and speed can be adjusted freely, the positioning is accurate, the speed is stable, it can adapt to long-term work, and no
maintenance is required.
2. What is a spray robot?
The spray robot is also called a servo sprayer. It refers to a special device that can use compressed air to atomize the release agent and spray it evenly on the
designated points and surfaces of the mold in a fixed and quantitative manner.
Its main features are spray volume and time can be adjusted according to different products.
It can spray evenly and the direction can be set freely. Any complex and delicate mold can be used.
What is a pick-up robot?
The pick-up manipulator, also known as the pick-up machine, refers to a special device that can grab, take out, and transport the die-casting partfrom the mold
to the designated location and then release it. It also has a certain recognition function for the integrity of the casting. Its main features are saving labor
costs, high efficiency in picking up parts, and normal use in harsh environments. It can also effectively prevent collisions, help maintain the beauty of the
workpiece, and improve quality.
